WHICH PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT?
Tar Heel Kids Consignment accepts CASH and all major credit cards including MC/VISA, Am Ex & Discover and many cashless currencies as well such as AppIe Pay, Venmo and PayPal. We do not, however accept checks, Monopoly Money or crypto currencies. 3% is added at the machine to every non-cash transaction. Use cash to save money.
IS THERE AN ADMISSION FEE?
There is NO admission fee or parking charge to shop at Tar Heel Kids Consignment on Community Shopping Days. We absorb the parking charges from the Arena! During our Presale Days & Times you will need a purchased presale pass or wristband to get in.
WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE TO SHOP?
The line at the door for Shopping usually begins to build 30-45 minutes before the doors open. Being a part of this line is entirely up to you!
HOW DO I GET A PRESALE PASS?
To get a FREE presale pass you must either be a Consignor, Team Member or New Mom/Grandparent or Hero. Team Members and Consignors will receive their pass at consignor drop off. New Moms/ Grandparents/Heroes will receive their pass via email confirmation from Ticket Tailor, Passes admit two people (they are good for you and a guest!). You can grab yours after June 15th. Pre Sale Passes for our Wednesday Night Kick Up Your Heels Presale may also be claimed at that time.
May I BRING MY BABY TO THE SALE?
We are a child friendly sale and allow children to all sale days. We do request that children are in a carrier on presale days due to the number of shoppers. Because Tar Heel Kids Consignment sells strollers wagons and handbags, we will band these items when you enter. Large purses, strollers & wagons are subject to search.
WHAT CAN I USE AS A SHOPPING CART?
Tar Heel Kids Consignment does not provide shopping carts. We will though provide huge “loaner bags” for you to borrow during shopping. (think Ikea bag!) You can also purchase one to bring your goodies home in! Many sellers bring a laundry basket with a long belt tied to the handle. This allows you to shop without having your arms tired from carrying all the goodies that you find at Tar Heel Kids Consignment! Wagons are also ok.
DO YOU HAVE A CHANGING OR NURSING STATION?
Tar Heel Kids Consignment offers a nursing and changing station based on your request. We will work something out for you!
WHAT IS A NEW MOM?
A new mom is a Mom who is expecting, adopting or has a child 12 months or younger. NEW: You may participate as a New Mom in any season that your are expecting or have a child under 12 months of age.
WHAT ABOUT THOSE DISCOUNT DAYS?
On Discounted Days you will find that nearly 70% of the items in our store say DISCOUNT YES on the tag! Those will be marked for 50% off. Our consignors determine which items are discounted and which ones are not.
Tar Heel Kids Consignment has bargains galore...but Discount Day is FANTASTIC! This has quickly become our most popular shopping day! We offer 50% off most items all day on Saturday from 8am-5pm.
Most of our consignors choose to mark their items to discount on 50% off day. If the item says: “Discount: Yes” on the tag, it will ring up at half price on Saturday. Nearly 80% of our items are marked this way! On Sunday , tens of thousands of items no picked up by our sellers will ALL be 75% off between 11am and 3 pm. (yes, ALL of them -many of which were never marked to discount! Make plans now to join us for this awesome way to save $$ on your kids’ clothes!
